Annexe Gallery’s site featured a new article depicting a special talk in KL, to be held by Ananya Chatterjea regarding the arts of theatre and dance philosophy in Kuala Lumpur.

As part of the program for this year’s Projek KL Fringe, the CETUS Danstheater Series is proud to present “IN FRAGILE HOPE/DANCING CONVICTION: Talk on Art and Social Justice by Ananya Chatterjea”. In this talk, the internationally renowned US-based choreographer/dancer/lecturer Ananya Chatterjea will talk about “dance as a call to action” and the many lessons she has learned through her study of street theatre and feminist praxis across the world throughout her life.

Ananya will also share her experiences of the artistic process and how she has arrived at her “commitment to the immediate relationship between bodily artistic practices and social justice movement.” This is a must-attend event for anyone who is interested in dance and physical theatre at the Annexe Gallery, Kuala Lumpur.
